Rochester Civic Theatre is the largest community theater in the State of Minnesota with a 60 year history in Rochester. A staff of 7 full time theater professionals, and an army of volunteers produce a full array of theatrical productions, music and dance performances, and educational programs.
The Civic Theatre is the only organization in Rochester whose space and mission is solely dedicated to the performance and education of live theater arts.
Rochester Civic Theatre:

Produces six main stage shows each season and with outreach performances reaches over 30,000 audience members each year.

Over 400 volunteers who share their time and talent to support the performance and production of live theater.

Annually provides over 3000 tickets free of charge to area charities.

Offer classes in theater and related arts, including the very popular summer theater camp program STAR. Rochester Civic Theatre offers scholarships for economically challenged students to broaden the opportunities for an arts education.

Sponsors youth outreach troupes that perform in area schools and promote student involvement in the arts.

Home of the nation’s longest running TOUCH/NO EASY ANSWERS performance troupe. In partnership with Victim Services of Olmsted County, volunteer performers present a mini play about Sexual Abuse Prevention. This is a highly effective and greatly valued program in our schools and is booked with over 80 performances each season.

Is a resource for other non-profit theater groups like area schools, churches, and smaller theaters by loaning or renting costumes, props, and scenery.
